Mark; Hi! I have three H-M guitars with neck re-sets using Hot Hide Glue. I think it's a huge improvement over the rubbery, vinyl Titebond stuff Gibson uses. The Hot Hide Glue actually pulls the wood together as it dries and is very close in chemical makeup to the glue that was used in the `50's & `60's. the Titebond results are like placing a sheet of plastic/vinyl between the two pieces of wood and doesn't allow for a good transfer of vibrations between the two pieces of Mahogany.

As the owner of this guitar, I cannot express how amazing this RDS treatment is. I had a very nice guitar before and now it is outstanding in every respect. It is amazing how it keeps sounding better and better the more I play it and the more it ages. I am now in the planning stage to figure out which will be my next guitar to send to Historic Makeovers to have this done. Dealing with Kim couldn't have been better. Thanks a bunch for what you do guys!!

Hol crap. I gotta have 1 like that. Just the same amount of flame, no more no less. A little less distressing. Yes and yes!!

The Gibson glue doesn't look very appealing, but unless both surfaces are level, perhaps it wouldn't make wood to wood contact anyway?
What percentage change or improvements in tone would you expect to hear?
Perhaps the difference might be a bit more top end?
Please don't think I'm being critical, I'm thinking of the dollar value of having the neck re-glued, if the improvement wasn't significant I'd spend the dollars elsewhere.

Hi there,
I have watched the Historic Makeovers for some time and have been totally impressed. I have a Gibson Historic Korina Flying V that I might be interested in undergoing the process.
If I wanted to do the ULTIMATE to this kind of guitar, what would the work entail, about how long would it take, and what would the price be? I know the prices are posted, but they seem more
geared to bursts and Les Paul type instruments rather than a V. In addition, I have a set of Wolfetone Dr. Vintage shiny gold pickups that would be great to be installed and appropriately aged
at the same time. Any info you can provide would be very much appreciated. Thank you!

Hello,

Do you work on Les Pauls other than historics? would you be able to do a sunburst finish on a 52 that has already been refinished previously (top only) but not as nice as your work with correct dyes etc.

	thanks,
	Chris
